Edna Murray lives in Belfast and has been painting since 1982. She gave up teaching in 1997 and now paints full time. Her preferred medium is watercolour, which she values for its luminosity and sensitivity, but she also enjoys working in oils and pastels.

Edna would describe herself as a plein-air painter, her favourite locations being her native North Antrim Coast, Donegal, East Anglia and Cumbria.
